Child Health and Mortality Prevention Surveillance is a global network that investigates the causes of stillbirths and deaths among children, particularly in high-mortality settings, and turns that evidence into action to prevent child deaths.
Enterics for Global Health (EFGH) is a multi-country surveillance study investigating Shigella-related diarrhoeal disease in young children. Malawi is one of its participating countries, alongside Kenya, The Gambia, Mali, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Peru. Nyanja supports capacity building and data dissemination around the Malawi work.
A major South African university whose School of Public Health conducts strategic and applied research relevant to health challenges in the region. Nyanja has collaborated with Wits on analysing population-based data on mortality before and during COVID-19 and on strengthening research publication capacity.
